On Thursday August 12th at 6pm we are hosting Lisa Farmer from the Great Lakes Brewery for a special beer and food tasting.  This event will take place at the Liquor Barn Springhurst Education Center located in the front of our store.

 

We will be pairing seven different Great Lakes beers with seven different cheeses and meats.  For $10 you will receive a 3-4oz sample of each of the beers along with a sample of each food item.  Our menu is as follows:

 

-Dortmunder Gold paired with Gruyere

 

-Eliot Ness Amber Lager paired with Asiago

 

-Burning River Pale Ale paired with Aged Provolone

 

-Commodore Perry India Pale Ale paired with dry Italian Salame

 

-Lake Erie Monster Imperial India Pale Ale paired with Kenny’s KY Blue

 

-Blackout Stout paired with Lindt Lindor Truffles (60% Dark Chocolate)

 

There will also be Great Lakes Brewpub exclusive beer on tap for the tasting!  This beer will be something that will only be available in this market on draft for this tasting.

 

In addition to this stellar line-up of beer and food we will also be getting some Great Lakes growlers.  These are just the regular brown 64oz Growlers with the Great Lakes logo printed on them.  There will be a special price for the growlers filled with Great Lakes beer for customers attending the tasting.
